  Because on a late night in (or near) Alexandria, where else are you going to go out for a bite? This was my first visit of a Waffle House, and it did not disappoint.
  
  If you're like me, and not familiar with a Waffle House, this is American diner food. The closest thing to compare this to is an IHOP or a Denny's.
  
  The staff here was enthusiastic and friendly. When we mentioned that this was my first visit to Waffle House, it definitely took things to the next level.
  * "What you do you mean you've never been to a Waffle House? WHERE are you from?"
  * "CALIFORNIA? Are stories about ______ true?"
  * "You've GOT to take a picture. Here, wear this hat. Wait, let us make you a waffle... on the house!"
  
  PROPS: Excellent service, and a memorable experience.
  SLOPS: Food is just "okay" :)

  We were told to wait once we sat down, not busy at all. Got our drinks from a guy that wasn't our waiter and told to wait more. They took orders of persons that came in after us. Frustrating since I brought my kids before school as a reward for good report cards the day before. Almost late for drop off . Grr
